Act I · The Idea
History is sorted by era.
We sort it by date.
Schools teach history as a line: centuries in order, one region at a time. This Day cuts across it. Each morning brings one date and what happened on it, from 1580 to last year, from Lagos to Lima.
It's a short read on purpose, about five minutes. The goal isn't memorizing facts. It's the jolt of realizing a lot of the world was happening at the same time.
